Dental assistants and hygienists may be at increased risk of respiratory problems

Dental assistants who work on porcelain veneers, crowns and orthodontic brackets may be at an increased risk for respiratory problems.

Those who had the most exposure were more likely to report nasal symptoms, coughing, and even adult onset asthma.
