Aleya is a galactic traveler from a small city known as Ferlediopolo, on the planet Gerengii. Gerengii orbits the star Ger in an area of space on the far side of the black hole center of our galaxy. Aleya has been studying sentient beings on a number of planets in our arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. "She" will be here on the Earth for several years absorbing all that she can about our mulititude of plant and animal species.

Communication is an important part of any such study. It is "her" hope to use the blog to pass on some observations and to elicit responses that will better aid her understanding of the human species.

Note that I used the female gender to refer to Aleya. That gendered reference maybe not be strictly true, but it is what I see. This alien being has the ability to directly manipulate electro-magnetic fields and light waves, so the image that she provides is not her real one.

How did Aleya get to Earth? Her non-technical answer is this: Imagine an Aztec Pyramid where each level of the pyramid is a separate dimension. The dimension containing the Universe is towards the bottom. Use an elevator to go the top level of the pyramid, take one step forward. Now go back down to the regular Universe. The one step you took at the top was equivalent to 100 light years in our Universe. By shifting and traveling through different dimension, Aleya and her kind are able to travel the Galaxy and beyond in very short time periods.

Is Aleya a threat? To the narrow minded perhaps. And she has stated the ability to defend herself from violence. But I think Aleya's presence, the presence of a being from another world here on Earth, is an opportunity for the World to recognize our commonality with each other. Perhaps we can set aside our petty differences and co-exist in peace…
